The games

Skip Count Train: A train's cars count by 10s, 5s or 2s, and one car is missing its number. Kids find it, and a miss draws the hops between cars to show that each one is the same amount more than the last.

Hundreds Hill: On a mountain trail, kids read and build three-digit numbers with hundreds flats, tens rods and ones cubes. They write numbers in expanded form (300 + 40 + 6), say what a digit is worth, compare numbers and count by 5s, 10s and 100s.

Mark the Spot: A treasure-map path is a number line. Kids drop an X where a number belongs or read the spot under an arrow. Lines count by 1s, then by 2s and 5s, then reach 100 and 1,000, and the last level makes kids work out what each space is worth.

Pattern Parade: A marching band parades down the street in a pattern, and one spot is empty. Kids finish AB and ABC patterns, find the part that repeats, continue growing patterns, then number patterns.
