Sticker Valley

Learning games that read aloud, for kids who can’t read yet

Most learning games assume your kid can read the question. These don’t. Each one reads its questions aloud, so a 5-year-old can practice counting, letter sounds or science on their own while you cook dinner.

53 of the 72 games read their questions aloud: every game outside math, and 12 of the 31 math games. The other math games are built on pictures to count and compare.

Questions parents ask

Can a kindergartner play these on their own?
Yes, that’s what they’re for. 22 games for kindergarten read their questions aloud, so a kid who knows how to tap can play without a grown-up reading for them. The first round or two, sit with them so they learn where things are.
Which Sticker Valley games don’t read aloud?
19 math games, built on pictures to count and compare: Number Garden, Make Ten, Frog Hops, Missing Number, Doubles Bugs, Big Number Bakery, Gator Compare, Skip Count Train, Tens Builder, Rounding Hills, Coin Shop, Clock Tower, Measure It, Graph Garden, Pizza Fractions, Fraction Line, Array Orchard, Times Table Tower, Fair Share. Most pre-readers can still play them, since the questions are mostly pictures and numbers.
What does the voice sound like, and what gets sent to it?
The questions are read by a text-to-speech voice. Only the words a game reads, like “What is 3 + 4?”, are sent to make the audio, never anything about your kid. If the voice can’t load, the game uses the device’s own voice instead.
Is any of it free?
The read-aloud games come with the family plan, which has a free trial.
