Pizza Fractions Fair shares, halves, thirds and fourths1st grade to 3rd grade

Pizza Fractions: Pizzas cut into exactly equal slices teach what a fraction is. Kids spot fair shares, name halves and fourths, then thirds and sixths, build a fraction by topping slices, and decide which pizza has more.

Practice it at home

Cut sandwiches, pancakes or pizza into halves, thirds and fourths, and talk about whether the pieces are fair shares.
