The games

Animal Homes Habitats, animal homes and how animals are built for themkindergarten to 2nd grade
Food Chain Producers, consumers, decomposers, food chains and webs2nd and 3rd grade

Animal Homes: On field-guide pages, kids match animals with their homes and habitats. They sort animals by where they live, see how bodies are built for a place (fins, gills, fur) and tell animals that are awake by day from those awake at night.

Food Chain: At a pond and meadow, kids sort producers, consumers and decomposers, say what an animal eats, build food chains with arrows from food to eater, read a food web and follow the energy.

Practice it at home

Look for animal homes outside, like nests, holes and webs, and guess who lives there.
Trace your dinner back to the sun: the chicken ate grain, and the grain grew from sunlight.
